Yoga in The Workplace Do you, your colleagues or employees ever: ~sit at a desk for hours? ~Fell lethargic or sluggish? ~have back or neck pain? Headaches? ~suffer from stress? ~Feel overwhelmed
Yoga has been shown to be one of the most effective ways of relieving stress and relaxing both the mind and body. Effectively managing stress requires self-calming techniques for the mind and physical exercise for the body. Yoga which literally means "union" is an ancient system of mind/body healing combining active meditation(breathing) and postures that tone and strengthen the entire body.
Yoga in the workplace may sound unusual, but it is happening across the country. More and more HR departments are actively pursuing creative approaches to implementing wellness programs that increase motivation and general well-being. Yoga can be practiced almost anywhere(board room, lunchroom, seated at desk, etc.) and it can be shared by people of all different fitness levels and ages.
Benefits of Workplace Yoga
Workplace yoga programs will benefit you and your staff through stress reduction. Yoga balances all systems of the body, toning the nervous system, releasing anxiety and promoting inner harmony. Participants will learn various breathing techniques to use in daily life situations, along with postures to relieve bodily discomfort by strengthening, stretching and relaxing.
