Immerse yourself in the transformative practice of Yoga Nidra, a state of conscious rest that blends ancient yogic wisdom with modern neuroscience. Across this 20-hour training, Kumari Sky will guide you through the foundational philosophy, structure, and practice of Yoga Nidra — including the kosha model, brainwave states, stages of sleep, and the eleven-phase framework that shapes a traditional Nidra journey. You’ll explore how this guided, effortless practice moves practitioners through progressively deeper states of awareness, balancing the nervous system, improving sleep, decreasing stress and anxiety, supporting healing, and cultivating witness consciousness.
Throughout the weekend you’ll learn how to skillfully lead a full Yoga Nidra session, develop resonant Sankalpa intentions, and understand the subtle energetic, psychological, and somatic components that make this practice so powerful. Through lecture, discussion, personal practice, and reflection, you’ll experience both the science and the spirit of this modality. Whether you are an experienced teacher expanding your offerings or an enthusiastic practitioner deepening your understanding, you will leave with the confidence to guide transformative, restorative Yoga Nidra experiences for yourself and others. This training is open to yoga teachers and dedicated students. No prior Nidra experience is required, just curiosity, openness, and a desire to explore the profound inner landscape of rest, awareness, and intuitive wisdom.

50 Hour Yin Yoga Training
I will be your guide for the Yoga Pod Tucson’s 50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training Program is certified by Yoga Alliance and eligible for continued education hours for current yoga teachers. This program can also be used by those who are not certified yoga teachers to deepen their knowledge of the yin yoga practice.
Yin is a quiet, meditative yoga practice that nourishes the connective tissues in the body with long held, floor based poses, supported by yoga props like bolsters, blocks and blankets. Benefits of this practice include: increased joint mobility and flexibility, regulation of the nervous system, present moment awareness and a deeper connection with self.
This is a comprehensive training that will deepen your understanding of the principles of yin yoga. Students will immerse themselves in the practice of yin yoga, learning the philosophy and history behind the practice, the benefits of yin yoga and how to successfully teach and structure their own yin yoga class.

The Yoga Pod Tucson’s 40-hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training is certified by Yoga Alliance and eligible for continuing education hours for current yoga teachers. This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the art and science of rest. Designed for yoga teachers, wellness professionals, caregivers and anyone seeking to understand and experience the profound benefits of deep rest.
Restorative yoga provides a sanctuary, a way to gently guide the nervous system back toward parasympathetic tone. With thoughtfully supported postures using props like bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps and sandbags, the body is invited into deep release. This “rest and digest” state supports healing on every level: physical, mental, and emotional.
This training provides the tools to skillfully share or personally integrate restorative yoga as a pathway to the benefits of deep rest, through the art and science of restorative yoga. You’ll explore the latest research in neuroscience and the profound physiological impact of rest on the body and mind.
In this training you’ll learn:
The neuroscience of rest and nervous system regulation
A complete overview of restorative yoga poses
How to intelligently use props for maximum support and comfort
Trauma-informed language and presence
The subtle energetics of deep relaxation
The art of cueing, theming, and creating intentional rest-based experiences
How to teach restorative sequences in public classes and private sessions

Our Yoga Alliance-certified 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program is designed for yoga teachers AND practitioners ambitious about expanding their teaching styles and personal practices. This unique program is designed to address both Yin and Yang modalities, with full expert led modules in yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, guided meditation, as well as advanced training in vinyasa yoga sequencing and yoga anatomy.
Yoga students will experience a blend of expert led modules and mentorship as they lead their own yoga classes and workshops throughout the course of the program.
With our curated group of yoga subject matter experts, students will experience a wide a variety of yoga informed modalities to help enhance their teaching methods and personal practice.
